NO Dope Express Foundation Signs On To Songz For Peace To Assist Trey Songz & Noonie Ward in Their Efforts To Put An End To The Violence Chicago IL)-July 7 2008- On August 5, 2008 at Lindblom High School, Trey Songz and Noonie G. Ward will hold a panel and free event as an attempt to save our children.

As August 5th quickly approaches, many sponsors and celebrities join forces to support a worthy cause. Dr Earl B King is one of many to step up and offer his expertise on such a worthy cause. As the chairman of the NO Dope Express Foundation, he has devoted his time to combating causes such as this.

His foundation along with Cook County has stepped up and will be offering jobs, health screening and much more on location. Violence in Chicago is at an all time high, with our youth being the target victims and assailants. The Entertainment Community has come forward in order to make a difference in the lives of our youth. All guests will receive gift bags courtesy of our sponsors as well as school supplies and giveaways. Songz for Peace will include performances by Adero Neely, Ben One, Phoenix Phenom, Tha Pope, Vi & Trey Songz; as well as appearances by Quentin Richardson, Eddie Curry, Jackie Long, and Maestro Harrell. The event will be hosted by Twista and comedian Shawn Morgan, and a host of other celebrity panelists and guests.

The purpose of Songz for Peace is to educate and empower our youth on the importance of choices. Prior to the event there will be a 3 on 3 basketball tournament held at Our Lady of The Gardens School & following Songz for Peace will be the Poetic Justice Poetry Slam and After party at Da Mirage in Richton Park. Specific times and locations can be found at the end of this release.

ABOUT SONGZ FOR PEACE: Songz for Peace is a campaign formed in 2008 by Atlantic Recording artist Trey Songz & Chicago legend Noonie Ward as an attempt to save our children one city a time. Being that Chicago is like a second home to the R&B sensation, he decided to join forces with Noonie Ward to aid in the fight against violence in our city. Trey plans to continue supporting the cause and is asking that others become involved as well.

ABOUT NOONIE WARD: Noonie is a former high ranking member of the Gangster Disciples, which is reported to be the largest criminal organization in the United Stated and is now one of Chicago's entrepreneurial and philanthropic elite. Noonie's organizational genius, once used for terror across the Mid-West, is now focused on positive, productive business and community development projects. Noonie's inspirations story was featured as the Spring 2005 cover for F.E.D.S magazine.
