Description: It’s time for the WHOLE family to get healthy in Body, Mind & Spirit at Good Food + Good Reading + Good Health = A Better You! on Saturday, August 2, 2008, 10 am – 2 pm, at the Illinois Institute of Technology, the Field north of Crown Hall, 33rd & State St., in Chicago. This year’s it’s easy to get it together with two FREE annual events at ONE location: State Senator Mattie Hunter’s 3rd Legislative District Fifth Annual Health & Fitness Fair PLUS the Institute for Positive Living’s Off the Page Reading Festival 2008.

Get healthy and fit at the Fifth Annual Health & Fitness Fair with school physicals (bring immunization record), eye examinations, health screenings (diabetes, blood pressure, etc.), AIDS information, holistic health information, Jazzercise, and Women’s Workout World. Visit the Open Book Literacy Village where you can learn how to create your own book; take classes on writing poetry, lyrics & short stories; participate in reading games; meet famous writers; play HIV/AIDS Jeopardy; and hear Story Tellers. Other highlights include Prizes, Free Food, Free Books, and Free School Supplies. Raffles will take place every 30 minutes. Have fun with the Jumping Jack, Benny the Bull, and Melody the Singing Clown.
