As part of its mandate to promote national peace, non-violence, security, unity and reconciliation following the long running tragedies of the youth across the United States, Kids off the Block, Inc. in conjunction with St. John Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. A. Edward Davis, Jr. is sponsoring "Kids off the Block Sunday".
Kids off the Block Sunday is designed to promote peace among our youth, therefore we would like to extend an invitation to your youth to join us as we stand for peace from this day forth. Since the inception of Kids Off The Block, Inc. an organization that gives at-risk low income youth, positive alternatives to gangs, drugs, violence, truancy, and the juvenile justice system; many youth have turned their lives around to become better citizens and now works in the program to reach other youths that may be going in the wrong direction as they once were.
During this service we will also honor various Black History figures that have paved the road, shed blood and tears for African-Americans today. The youth will conduct services for the entire day with special quest speakers, singers, food, fellowship and so much more.
We are asking all teens to bring family, friends, neighbors and classmates to help us celebrate this event. This is a history making event you don't want to miss.
