City of Jackson gets set for “Rip the Runway”

Jackson, MS- New York’s Fashion Week is a ‘must-have on your calendar’ for the entire entertainment industry. Celebrities tune in to see gorgeous models strut their stuff in the latest fashions made by designers and stylists from around the world. Local talent from across the South are bringing a sold-out, pounding entertainment event with beautiful women and high-class fashion to the city of Jackson.


“Rip the Runway” Fashion Showcase is Friday, February 27, 2009. Doors at the Jackson State University E-Center on Raymond Road will open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. This one-of-a-kind event is sure to set a new standard for the fashion and entertainment industry in Mississippi. The “Rip the Runway” Fashion Showcase event is where people, fashion, and music connect. It opens up a larger opportunity for prospective fashion talent to get recognized.


“Rip the Runway” is co-sponsored by Lady Mirage Entertainment, SIP Records, Who Want It Records, Beyond Hair and Yums, Inc., House of J-Ran. Performing Artists include: J-Skills (Who Want It Records Artist), Rah Fontaine (Who Want It Records CEO), Loksmif, Recognition, Featured Artist JoSIP (SIP Records) and Rebel Musik Records (Gulf Coast Record Label and Record Stores). Special guests are: Benz, Rob Gold, Team Yea Yea, Mal Walker, JayMall, and Trill Entertainment.


The event is hosted by Mississippi Hendog and WJMI 99.7’s own Ms. CoCo Chanel. To purchase tickets, call 601-624-5659. Tickets will also be sold at the door.
