American Legacy Challenge Finals

Trivia Competition Teaches History and Brings Pride and Fun for
High School Students

NEW YORK, NY…March 30, 2009--- Nine Chicago-area high school students have advanced to the American Legacy Challenge 2009, the high school trivia competition designed to educate students about America’s legacy and the contributions of African-Americans. The competition, presented by American Legacy Magazine and American Family Insurance, takes place Saturday, April 4, 12:30-3:00 pm at the DuSable Museum at 740 E. 56th Place. While many supporters and special guests will be on hand to encourage the students, the competition will be co-hosted by celebrity deejays Bionce Foxx and DJ Phantom of Chicago’s top-rated WGCI-FM.

More than 130 students entered the competition back in February, however, only nine will compete for cash for college in the Finals. The winners will get $1,500 for first place, $1,000 for second place, and $500 for third place.
