(March 11, 2009) – Gospel fans may recall “Awesome & Mighty” on Shekinah Glory Ministry’s latest CD, SHEKINAH GLORY LIVE (certified gold) and Stellar Award for Best Praise & Worship Album, but many may not know the man behind the popular tune.
Cedric Ford received his first big musical break with the gospel powerhouse. On their certified gold album, “Praise Is What I Do”, Cedric wrote and produced 2 songs, (Dwell among Us and Reign Jesus). "Dwell Among us" received considerable international attention. The song was re-recorded and re-released in Brazil on a Brazilian Praise and Worship CD.
Cedric Ford has a new family now teaming with Tyscot Records and Get Right Records. Together, they deliver a knock out with CEDRIC FORD & Heart of Worship’s “Created 2 Worship” - a new CD/DVD recorded live in his adopted hometown – Houston, TX. The project will be available in stores and online Tuesday, May 5th 2009.
Ford displays both his writing and production talents this upcoming record as he was responsible for creating 80% of the material. His favorite song is lead radio single “Created 2 Worship”. He says ‘the song speaks volumes to whom and what I am’.
Cedric will be heading out on the road to support his new album, Created to Worship. He’ll kick off a promo stint on March 13th in Michigan and will make stops along the east coast in Maryland, DC, and Virginia. Experience the ministry of Cedric Ford & Heart of Worship live and in-person:
