The Stellar Awards 2009



The winners of the 24th Annual Stellar Awards have been announced. The show was held January 17, 2009 at the Grand Ole Opry and featured performances by Kirk Franklin, Dionne Warwick, and Lee Williams and the Spiritual QC’s. Hosts were Donnie McClurkin, Sinbad, and Dorinda Clark-Cole.

Marvin Sapp was the night’s biggest winner! He received Stellars for Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, CD of the Year, Traditional Male of the Year, Traditional CD of the Year, and Music Video of the Year. Although “Never Would Have Made It” missed the cut for a Grammy award, it received its due at the Stellars. Visit The Stellar Awards to get local air times for your city.
